Counter Current System
RiverWave™ Dual Propeller System
The RiverWave™ counter-current system is equipped with two large-diameter propellers (9.44 inches each) designed to generate a balanced and consistent water flow. This creates a wide, stable current that covers almost the entire swimming area of the spa. Unlike traditional jet-based systems, this propeller-driven current does not rely on air injection to increase pressure. Instead, it uses the power of a high-capacity 6,500-watt pump to move a large volume of water, delivering stronger resistance through direct water flow for a smoother and more natural swimming experience.

The RiverWave™ counter-current system allows users to precisely adjust flow intensity to match individual needs—from gentle current for low-impact water exercise, rehabilitation, and injury recovery, to walking, running, and warm-up sessions before swimming. Higher resistance levels support more advanced training, allowing users to select the ideal current strength based on their skill level and swimming ability.
Different swimming styles require different current speeds. With adjustable resistance, the Ultimate 16 Swim Spa supports all major swimming styles, including breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly. Precise speed control helps swimmers maintain proper rhythm, stroke timing, and comfortable breathing throughout each session.
The counter-current system operates in continuous 30-minute cycles with an automatic safety shut-off, creating balanced workout sessions and preventing accidental overuse. With an overall width of 240 cm, the Ultimate 16 provides a more spacious swimming environment than many other swim spas, making it suitable for daily exercise for every family member—from children and active adults to seniors and retirees.

Wide and Balanced Water Flow
The RiverWave™ simulated river current system features an extra-wide swim outlet designed to organize and guide the water flow into a smooth, even current. This design helps reduce turbulence and swirling within the flow, creating a well-balanced and stable swimming current that feels natural and controlled.
With a swim outlet measuring 135 cm in width and 18 cm in height, the system releases a dense, high-volume sheet of water that minimizes pressure compression compared to narrow outlet systems. The wider flow reduces water impact around the nose and mouth, allowing swimmers to maintain comfortable breathing and better control of rhythm and body position throughout the swim.
Relaxation Seating Area
with Hydro Massage Jets
The Ultimate 16 Counter-Current Swim Spa is equipped with a dedicated relaxation seating area featuring two seats located at the rear of the spa, opposite the current-generation system. A total of 14 hydro massage jets are strategically installed to provide relaxing massage therapy for the mid-back and lower back areas. Both seats are designed to face each other, creating a comfortable space for conversation, social interaction, and shared moments of relaxation with loved ones and family members.
The two rear seats are designed with a water depth that comfortably reaches chest level, allowing users to breathe easily and relax fully. This seating area is ideal for resting after counter-current swimming or various forms of aquatic exercise. The massage system combines two types of jets to deliver a varied and effective massage experience: directional jets for targeted muscle relief and rotating jets that provide a kneading massage effect. In addition, three jet sizes—2 inches, 3 inches, and 5 inches in diameter—are carefully positioned to deliver different pressure levels, reaching various muscle depths to help relieve fatigue and promote deep relaxation efficiently.
Built-In Heating System
Always Ready to Swim
The Ultimate 16 Counter-Current Swim Spa is equipped with a built-in water heating system that allows the water temperature to be set up to 40°C. The system is designed to maintain a stable water temperature continuously for 24 hours, ensuring the swim spa is always ready to meet each user’s specific needs—every day and at any time.
For example, for customers who enjoy swimming, Q&G recommends setting the water temperature to no higher than 30°C. Whether swimming in the morning or at night, the water temperature will remain consistently at 30°C, providing a comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience at all times.
The heating system is also highly beneficial for aquatic exercise, physical recovery, and hydrotherapy. Setting the water temperature within the range of 32–36°C helps relax muscles and effectively supports rehabilitation and recovery processes.
The swim spa is equipped with a 3,000-watt heater, which may appear smaller compared to heating systems used in conventional swimming pools. However, the system is intelligently engineered to maintain the water temperature in advance, rather than rapidly heating the water during use with a high-powered heater. When compared over long-term operation, this design significantly helps reduce electricity consumption and delivers excellent energy efficiency for water heating.
8-Color LED Lighting System

The LED lighting system is designed to create ambiance, improve visibility while swimming, and enhance overall pool usability, while also promoting relaxation during night-time use. It features 8 selectable LED colors, including red, green, blue, yellow, sea blue, light green, purple, and white, along with 6 lighting modes. Users can choose their preferred fixed color for swimming or select from various color-changing modes with adjustable effects—fast, slow, or gentle transitions—while relaxing in the rear seating area of the swim spa.
The LED system includes large underwater lights combined with discreet mini LED lights arranged along the upper waterline. The lighting system operates for up to 4 hours and is equipped with an automatic shut-off function, creating the perfect atmosphere for outdoor relaxation and night-time enjoyment.

Insulated Swim Spa Cover

The Ultimate 16 Swim Spa is equipped with a 4–6 inch insulated cover designed specifically for the larger water volume of a swim spa. By limiting sunlight exposure and blocking debris such as dust, leaves, and insects, the cover helps prevent algae growth that can lead to green or cloudy water. Reduced light penetration also supports more stable water chemistry and lowers the need for corrective chemicals.
High-density insulation helps maintain consistent water temperature, reducing heat loss and minimizing heater cycling to improve energy efficiency. The tapered design allows rainwater to drain away easily, while the durable outer layer protects against UV exposure, weather, and environmental contamination—keeping the swim spa cleaner, clearer, and ready to use. With normal care, the cover’s typical service life is 3–5 years.
WHY SWIM SPA – ULTIMATE 16 SERIES
Building a traditional concrete swimming pool that supports continuous swimming typically requires a length of 25–50 meters, along with significant space, construction cost, and ongoing maintenance. While effective, such pools are often impractical for residential homes.
Mid-size concrete pools in the 12–15 meter range reduce space requirements but require frequent turning, which interrupts swimming rhythm and limits training effectiveness. The Ultimate 16 Swim Spa eliminates this limitation with a smooth, continuous counter-current system that allows uninterrupted swimming in a compact footprint.
